About These License Types
A: General Engineering Contractor
Authorizes construction of fixed works requiring specialized engineering knowledge and skill, including irrigation, drainage, water power, water supply, flood control, inland waterways, harbors, docks, shipyards, dams, hydroelectric projects, levees, railroads, highways, tunnels, airports, sewers, bridges, pipelines, parks, refineries, and power plants.
Not authorized: Does not authorize work under a Class B General Building Contractor license or any specialty (C) classification unless incidental to the engineering project.
C-60: Welding Contractor
Causes metal to become permanently attached, joined, and fabricated by the use of gases and electrical energy creating sufficient heat.
