A: General Engineering Contractor
Authorizes construction of fixed works requiring specialized engineering knowledge and skill, including irrigation, drainage, water power, water supply, flood control, inland waterways, harbors, docks, shipyards, dams, hydroelectric projects, levees, railroads, highways, tunnels, airports, sewers, bridges, pipelines, parks, refineries, and power plants.
Not authorized: Does not authorize work under a Class B General Building Contractor license or any specialty (C) classification unless incidental to the engineering project.
ASB: Asbestos Certification
An add-on certification that allows a contractor to perform asbestos abatement work within the scope of their existing license classification(s). This is not a standalone license.
Not authorized: Can only perform abatement within existing classification scope.
C-21: Building Moving/Demolition Contractor
Raises, lowers, cribs, underpins, demolishes, moves, or removes structures including their foundations.
Not authorized: Does not include alterations, additions, repairs, or rehabilitation of permanently retained portions of structures.
C-22: Asbestos Abatement Contractor
