Authorizes remodeling of existing residential wood-frame structures with nonstructural projects requiring at least three unrelated building trades or crafts. May self-perform or subcontract trades including drywall, finish carpentry, flooring, insulation, painting, plastering, roof repair, siding, tiling, and minor fixture replacement.

Not authorized: Cannot make structural changes to load-bearing portions including footings, foundations, load-bearing walls, or roof structures. Cannot install, replace, or substantially alter electrical, mechanical, or plumbing systems without the appropriate C license. Cannot perform C-16 Fire Protection, C-22 Asbestos Abatement, or C-57 Well Drilling.

C-39: Roofing Contractor

Installs products and repairs surfaces that seal, waterproof, and weatherproof structures using asphaltum, pitch, tar, felt, glass fabric, urethane foam, metal roofing systems, shakes, shingles, roof tile, slate, and other roofing materials.

C-43: Sheet Metal Contractor

Selects, cuts, shapes, fabricates, and installs sheet metal including cornices, flashings, gutters, leaders, pans, kitchen equipment, duct work with insulation, patented chimneys, metal flues, and metal roofing systems.

C-46: Solar Contractor

Installs, modifies, maintains, and repairs thermal and photovoltaic solar energy systems.

Not authorized: Shall not undertake building or construction trades except when required to install a solar energy system.
