What Does a C-23 License Cover?

Assembles, casts, cuts, shapes, forges, welds, fabricates, and installs brass, bronze, copper, cast iron, wrought iron, stainless steel, and other metals for architectural treatment and ornamental decoration of structures.

What This License Does Not Cover

Does not include the work of a sheet metal contractor (see C-43).

California law requires a contractor license for this type of work on projects valued at $500 or more (combined labor and materials). Hiring an unlicensed contractor for work requiring a license may void your consumer protections.
